Surveys and Methods

National partners in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan as members of Eurasia Barometer Consortium have extensive experience of using the whole existing range of quantitative and qualitative methods of sociological and market research.

For survey method used for surveys which are part of Eurasia Barometer time series traditionally the face-to-face interview is used. The surveys are conducted using a national representative sample in all countries between 1500 and 3500 respondents. Among the qualitative methods frequently used in Eurasia Barometer surveys could be mentioned in-depth interview, biographical interview, expert interview and focus group discussion.
